Shape Shifter with Chack - June 6

Join Chack Bare again for his Shape Shifter workshop! Learn how to step into your character and capture audiences hearts. This workshop is for all kinds of performers, whether Drag, Burlesque, Theatre or Dance this workshop will help you with your performance ability and character development. Class will start with a warm up for the body + mind. We will move into Character concept + movement breakdown that can be utilized to create each act. By the end of this workshop, participants will: * Understand how to map moves to different music styles (slow vs. upbeat). * Identify at least two distinct characters and their movement qualities. * Learn how to use facial expressions and eye contact for storytelling. * Gain tools for creating “boylesque” or gender-bending character elements. What to Bring/Wear * Comfortable dance clothing or easy-to-remove garments for rehearsal. * Heels (optional, but encouraged for classic/showgirl style). * Optional props: A pair of gloves, a hat, or a tie.
